The purpose of Year 3 is to:

  • Develop wisdom and insight for accomplishing various duties associated with Christian ministry

  • Provide a practical application of the essential skills needed to achieve effectiveness and success in ministry

  • Provide the proper elements of sermon preparation and presentation

Servant Leadership 1

Servant Leadership 1 provides an understanding of the definition and levels of leadership and identifies effective biblical leaders.

Servant Leadership 2

Servant Leadership 2 builds upon the foundational principles of Servant Leadership 1 to prepare the student to lead in everyday life encounters.

Christian Counseling 1

Christian Counseling 1 is an introductory course that provides practical techniques for counseling God’s way and explores the role of the church in counseling.

Christian Counseling 2

Christian Counseling 2 builds upon the foundational principles of Christian Counseling 1 to prepare the student to minister to everyday life encounters through practical application.

Gifts of Holy Spirit

Gifts of Holy Spirit provides an in-depth study of the source, types, and purpose of spiritual gifts.

Pulpit Decorum

Sermon preparation and presentation provides the necessary skills for effectively preparing sermons and ministering the Word of God.

Kingdom Planning

Kingdom Planning provides an overview of the administrative aspects of ministry and discusses the various roles and functions in ministry.

Academic Dean: Minister Laura Taylor

Minister Laura Taylor is a native of New York City and an ordained Minister of Faith City Central. She is an Alumnus of Regent University where she received her degree in Human Resource Management. Minister Laura serves as an Action Officer in the Information Technology Office for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

As a gifted teacher, Minister Laura serves as the Dean for Year 3 at the Faith City Bible Institute (FCBI). Having served in this role for over a decade, she continues to impact the lives of each student who has attended FCBI. In addition to this significant role, she serves faithfully with FCC Ministry of Leaders. She and her husband, Elder Barry Taylor, have significantly impacted the ministry of both FCC and FCBI over the years.
