Year 2 – Spiritual Development

The purpose of Year 2 is to:

  • Enhance knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of God’s Word

  • Develop character, humility, and integrity

  • Develop a high level of commitment to service

Students enrolled in Year 2 will take the following courses:

Christian Apologetics 2

Christians Apologetics 2 provides tools to the student to better defend the truth about Jesus Christ and their way of life as Christians. It gives a broader understanding of the various religions, and their beliefs and ideologies from other world views such as Jehovah Witnesses, Mormonism, and others.

Covenant

Covenant provides a comprehensive review of the meaning of covenant, the three major steps in establishing covenant, and the Old and New Testament examples of God’s covenant with man.

Christian Conduct

Christian Conduct provides a Biblical foundation for showing proper honor to men and women of God with an emphasis on those who are called to leadership positions. This course also provides a Biblical foundation for the importance of humility, and establishes God’s disdain for vanity and pride.

Integrity, Character, and Ethics

This course explores the importance and application of Godly integrity, character, and ethics for successful Christian ministry.

Ministry Gifts

Ministry Gifts defines each role and purpose of the five-fold ministry gifts and explores the role of women in ministry.

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare provides an in-depth study and explores Biblical principles for identifying and taking authority over the enemy.

Servanthood

The objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the definition and levels of leadership. This course will also identify effective biblical leaders and examine the characteristics of effective leadership.

Academic Dean: Minister Fredricia Cunegin

Minister Fredricia Cunegin is a native Washingtonian and an alumnus of the University of Maryland Global Campus. With more than 25 years of human resource management experience, she is the founder and chief executive officer of HRinMotion, LLC, a full-service human resource management consulting firm with a mission to help CEOs develop a legacy-driven labor force through the pillars of succession planning, training, workforce development, behavioral style assessments, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The organization’s vision is strengthening legacy potential by transforming the way organizations utilize the human resource function.

She offers customized executive coaching programs and the execution of succession planning strategies. She was featured on the Bruce Johnson Show, WUSA, channel 9 as a subject matter expert (SME) on the topic of sexual harassment in the workplace. Fredricia earned the professional human resource (PHR) certification, conferred by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), and the SHRM-CP certification conferred by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She also holds a Master of Science, Management (MSM) degree, with a human resource management concentration resource from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Fredricia Cunegin, an ordained minister of Faith City Central, serves as the Dean of Year Two, Spiritual Development of Faith City Bible Institute (FCBI). She is happily married to the man of her dreams Elder Irvin Cunegin.
